ETC Group achieves industry standard with ISO 27001 certification | ETC Group

ETC Group continues rapid growth in the first quarter of 2022 with six new ETC listings, the listing of Europe’s first Metaverse ETF in cooperation with HANetf, and picks up the prestigious ‘Editors Pick’ award at the ETF Express awards.

25 April 2022. London, UK - ETC Group (etc-group.com), Europe’s leading specialist provider of institutional-grade digital asset-backed securities, announced today that it has achieved the international standard of ISO/IEC 27001:2017 for its activities as digital asset manager with primary issuer in Germany. ETC Group’s products enable both retail as well as institutional investors to gain exposure to cryptocurrencies and digital assets with all the ease of trading on regulated markets through regulated brokers.

ISO/IEC 27001:2017 is the leading international standard on information security with certification holders being rigorously audited to ensure they follow the needed procedures and policies to meet the highest information security management standards. The auditor was the British Assessment Bureau, one of the largest certification authorities in the market.

This latest development follows a period of significant progress for ETC Group during Q1, 2022 as it widens its portfolio for investors, including additional listings on European exchanges, the listing of Europe’s first Metaverse ETF on London’s stock exchange, Germany’s XETRA and Borsa Italiana, and the recent award by leading trade publication ETF Express.

Tim Bevan, Founder and co-CEO at ETC Group said:

Over the past three months we’ve significantly scaled up ETC Groups operations with multiple new ETC listings as well as the introduction of Europe’s first Metaverse ETF. In parallel we’re investing in market leading systems and controls to support this growing business, and are delighted to both be certified as ISO 27001 compliant as well as achieve the notable Editors Pick award at the ETF Express awards.
